Next Sunday (4), voters across the country will go to the polls to choose the President of the Republic, governor, senator, federal deputies and state or district deputies. The runoff, if any, will be held on October 25.
Those who are outside their electoral domicile, that is, the municipality where they vote, may justify their absence on election day itself. The most practical way is through the e-Título app. The Electoral Court recommends that voters download and access the app before voting day.
The justification may also be made in person. In Cotia, the 227th and 286th Electoral Zones have designated 11 locations with Justification Reception Tables, especially intended for this service.
Voters may also submit the justification at any Vote Reception Table. But to make the justification in person, it is necessary to present an official photo ID and the Electoral Justification Request (RJE) duly filled out with the voter registration number. The form is available on the website of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). On voting day, it is not necessary to present documents proving the reason for the absence.

And those who do not justify on Sunday?
Those who do not vote or justify their absence on election day may submit the justification later through e-Título, through the Electoral Self-Service – Título Net, or in person at an electoral registry office. For those who do not vote in the 1st round, the deadline ends on December 3, 2026. In case of absence in the 2nd round, the deadline will be until January 8, 2027. Each round is considered separately for justification purposes.
